At Cresskill’s CSI House,
The Community is Our Classroom!
The Community Steps to Independence (CSI) Program prepares students ages 18-21 for independent day-to-day living. Community Steps to Independence is a transitional option for students who have completed their high school requirements. CSI offers a wide variety of experiences maximizing exposure to real life situations. A transition counselor, special education teacher and job coaches assist with community outreach and curriculum implementation. The CSI program is designed to increase self-advocacy, functional academics, independent living, and employability skills, with an emphasis on socialization skills. CSI also offers opportunities for career cluster exploration through independent internship and job experiences.
